Our next exhibit opens April 4, 2026, and the opening begins at Dusk. What we’re aiming to create is not a “collection of pieces,” but a room with atmosphere—like stepping into an Appalachian evening where the light gets low enough to tell the truth. A few notes on how we like to work (so you know what to expect): What we ask from you Bring work that feels true—grounded in place, memory, people, weather, ritual, labor, landscape, or a personal relationship to Appalachia. Share a short statement (150–300 words) about how your work connects to “light” and this region. Provide clean details for each piece: title, medium, dimensions, year, price. Artist Consignment Agreement

This Artist Consignment Agreement (the "Agreement") is made on this today between The Haus of Taylor Fine Art Gallery ("Gallery") and the undersigned Artist ("Artist"). The Agreement establishes the terms and conditions under which the Artist consents to display and sell their artwork at The Haus of Taylor Fine Art Gallery.

Representation Categories
Haus of Taylor Gallery features two categories of artists represented within our space:

Established Artists
Artists invited by the Gallery directly based on their established professional reputation or past
collaborations will forego the juried selection process. If invited or represented already, their
works will be immediately accepted for exhibition.

Juried Selection Process
Emerging or independent artists who wish to display their work at Haus of Taylor and are not
directly invited to exhibit their art will undergo a juried selection process. Passed only by a
discerning panel of curators, your inclusion ensures a collaborative effort to elevate your piece amongst our artisan-level offerings.
Artist Instructions and Guidelines
Artists may submit portfolio works in person or a digital portfolio, including high-resolution
images of at least six recent works. Each image should include dimensions, medium, and
descriptions.

A biography or CV showcasing noteworthy exhibitions, achievements, or accolades is required.

Review by Curatorial Team
Our expert curatorial panel reviews all submissions. Criteria include originality, technical mastery, conceptual depth, and alignment with the Haus of Taylor aesthetic. This process ensures that only pieces reflecting artistry and exclusivity are selected.

Communication of Selection Results
The artists will be notified of the jury's decision within seven days. Works accepted into the
Gallery will be subject to this Agreement's terms and conditions.

1. Agency and Purpose
The Gallery agrees to act solely as the Artist's agent to display and attempt to sell the consigned artwork located on its premises and through its promotional efforts. This Agreement does not create an employer-employee or partnership relationship.

2. Warranty
The Artist warrants that they are the sole creator of the artwork being consigned and holds all rights, titles, and interests. The Artist guarantees that the work does not infringe upon anyone else's intellectual property rights.

3. Consignment of Artwork
The Artist consigns the listed artwork to the Gallery for display and sale, subject to the terms
below. The Gallery reserves the right to select which pieces will be exhibited, the duration of
display, and how the work will be displayed. Additionally, the Gallery reserves the right to
determine the quantity and selection of art consigned due to limited space. All consigned artwork must meet the following conditions to be eligible for display at the Gallery: Artwork intended for hanging must include wire or sawtooth hangers.

Unframed work must have finished edges consistent with the primary medium.
Unframed, matted work must be protected with a plastic sleeve provided by the Artist.
Cards must be enclosed in protective sleeves provided by the Artist.

Artwork deemed obscene or inappropriate by Gallery management will not be accepted.

4. Pricing and Commission
The Artist and Gallery agree that the retail price of each consigned artwork will be set upon
mutual Agreement upon delivery to the Gallery. The Gallery will retain a commission of 30% for
any artwork sold. The remaining 70% of the retail price will be paid to the Artist.
No fees will be charged to the Artist for consigning their work at the Gallery. Payment to the

Artist will be made by check within seven (7) days of the sale of any artwork.

5. Duration of Consignment and Pick-Up Policy
The consigned artwork will be displayed at the Gallery for ninety (90) days from entering into the Gallery's inventory.

Any unsold artwork must be picked up by the Artist within thirty (30) days after the end of the
consignment period.

The Artist is responsible for keeping track of their consignment's expiration date.
Unclaimed artwork not picked up by the Artist within the thirty (30) day window after the
consignment period will become the property of The Haus of Taylor Fine Art Gallery.

6. Marketing and Promotion
During the consignment period, the Gallery retains the exclusive right to market, promote, and exhibit the Artist's work. This includes, but is not limited to, website features, social media
promotions, email campaigns, participation in promotional events, and written advertising.

7. Responsibility for Loss or Damage
The Haus of Taylor Fine Art Gallery will not be held liable for any damage, theft, or loss of the
consigned artwork during the consignment period. Artists are encouraged to carry their
insurance coverage for their artwork if desired.

8. Terms of Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement with three (3) days' written notice. Any modification
or addition to this Agreement must be submitted in writing and signed by both parties.

9. Sales Tax
The Gallery will collect and remit all applicable sales tax under the Commonwealth of Virginia on all consigned artwork sold.
10. Artist Inventory List (To be completed upon delivery) Title, Medium, Dimensions, Retail Price, Date Consigned

Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed and interpreted by the laws of Tazewell County and Virginia, USA.
